ROBINSON R44 TOUR HELICOPTER - Helipan Corp. is the regions only authorized service and sales dealer for Robinson Helicopters. We have two R22 and five R44 models, as well as one Eurocopter 120B Colibri. This photograph of one of our R44's was taken at Gatun Landing, which serves as our base while servicing the needs of the cruise ship industry. We routinely provide tours to cruise ship passengers during their stay in Panama.
EUROCOPTER 120 TOUR HELICOPTER - A five passenger turbine helicopter, Helipan Corp. utilizes this fine helicopter for situations that require more than what the Robinson R44 can provide. Comfortable and spacious, this new EU 120 is our "top of the line". In this photo the pilot is completing what is called an "Auto Rotation" at the nearby training facility.

PANAMA CANAL TOUR PHOTOS
MIRAFLORES LOCKS - just minutes from downtown Panama City, this set of locks are the most frequently visited in Panama. A tourist center is situated just alongside the Canal, allowing visitors to see firsthand how vessels enter and depart from the Locks. Miraflores Locks are the first set of Locks the vessels pass through when entering from the Pacific Ocean. This photograph was taken from approximately 2,500 ft. along the right side, or eastern side of the Canal. A large container ship can be seen within the Locks themselves.
GATUN LAKE - between Pedro Miguel Locks and Gatun Locks lies Gatun Lake. During your Canal tour you'll have the opportunity to fly over a healthy portion of this lake, and sometimes be treated to visual sightings of Crocodiles and Manatees. The lake is comprised of large bays, inlets and small islands, all of which can be readily seen from your helicopter. This particular photograph was taken of another one of our helicopters while returning from the city of Colon. The photograph was taken from approximately 1000 ft, with about 600 ft. seperating both helicopters.
GATUN LANDING - Gatun Landing is located just inside of Gatun Locks on the Atlantic coast of Panama. Cruise ships often utilize this facility for passengers who are disembarking for tours and local activities. Fine food, music, and gift shops are all there in this self contained center. Helipan Corp. is the exclusive provider of helicopter tours for Gatun Landing, transporting passengers along the Panama Canal en route to Panama City and other areas of interest.
GATUN LOCKS - this set of Locks are situated along the Atlantic coast, just minutes from the city of Colon. A paved road, situated just before the Locks, allows vehicles to pass throught the Locks en route to Fort Sherman. The bridge connecting both sides of the Canal opens and closes on regular intervals, however, much depends on the traffic the Canal is experiencing at any given time. This photograph was taken at approximately 2,500 ft. along the right side, or eastern side of the Canal.
FORT SAN LORENZO (NEAR GATUN LOCKS) - Sitting on the point, overlooking the Caribbean Sea and mouth of the Chagres River, Fort San Lorezno is perhaps the country's most well preservd and interesting ruins. Surrounded by well manicured lawns, these ruins are just a short drive outside of the Atlantic coastal city of Colon, and is frequently visited by tourists and locals alike. Internal chambers and canons can be easily viewed, making these ruins an important stop while on the Atlantic coast of Panama.
PANAMA CANAL COMMISSION BUILDING - clearly visible from the Albrook Airport, the Panama Canal Commission Building sits proudly on top of a well manicured hill overlooking the airport and surrounding areas. Built in the shape of the letter "L", this brownish/grey building houses the administrative offices of the Panama Canal Authority, which regulates and oversees the Panama Canal. This photo was taken just in front at approximately 500 ft, while approaching Albrook Field and clearly shows the building and surrounding hillside.
PANAMA CITY TOUR PHOTOS
PUNTA PAITILLA - perhaps the city's most exclusive residential area, Punta Paitilla is a large point that is located at the eastern most part of Ave. Balboa. Countless numbers of condominiums and office buildings occupy this well known area, and it can be seen from virtually any elevated portion of the city. This photograph was taken just off the coast to the south, looking back at the point. Behind Punta Paitilla resides the remainder of Panama City, including the banking sector, and to the left runs Ave. Balboa, which runs alongside the Bay of Panama before reaching Casco Viejo.
RIO CHAGES / EMBERA INDIAN PHOTOS
EMBERA HUT / ACCOMODATIONS IN VILLAGE - Along the Chagres River, just minutes from where it empties into Gatun Lake, lay several Indian villages that are ideal for tourist outings. These villages are still quite primitive, with the local inhabitants often dressed in traditional clothing and displaying their traditional customs. This particular village has prepared a hand-made cabin for visitors interested in staying over night. Helipan can fly you directly into this village, at which time you can take advantage of the numerous outdoor activies that exist; i.e. swimming, kayaking, etc. Just a short flight from Panama, this is a comfortable and enjoyable way to view up close the Embera Indian culture.
INDIANS POSING IN FRONT OF HELICOPTER - Here a group of male Embera Indians pose in front of the same helicopter that transports tourists to the village. In the background, sitting high on top of the hill, is the entrance to their village. The first hut can be rented for those interested in spending more than a day in the village. Just a 15-20 minute ride form Panama City, these friendly Indians will introduce you to their local culture and unique, primitive way of life.
TWO INDIANS BOYS ON KAYAK - Playing in the river that runs just in front of the village, these two Embera Indian children use these man made kayaks to transport themselves and tourists upriver or downriver. Playful and eager to assist, Embera Children are always leave a permanent smile on those fortunate enough to visit the village.

ESCUDO DE VERAGUAS (EASTERN MOST POINT) -You don't have to go any further than Panama to visit one of the worlds most pristine and undiscovered islands. Escudo de Veraguas is small group of islands situated 10 miles off the Atlantic coast of Panma. Inhabited only by local indians, these lush, verdant islands are surrounded by crystal clear turquoise waters, ideal for swimming and snorkeling. You will NOT find a more beautiful place in this portion of the world. Helipan Corp. can provide helicopter service to the island, putting you down right on the beach, eliminating long, uncomfortable boat rides. The ultimate getaway, Escudo de Veraguas awaits you.
ESCUDO DE VERAGUAS - NORTH COAST - One of the many stunning islands and inlets that surround Panama's Escudo de Veraguas Island. This particular area is situated along the nornthern coast, where white sand beaches meet with crystal clear turquoise waters. Ideal for photos, snorkeling or relaxation, Escudo de Veraguas is Panama's undiscovered jewel, and can be easily accessed by helicopter.
CALOVEBORA (ATLANTIC COAST INDIAN VILLAGE) - About midway between Colon and Bocas del Toro, along Panama's Atlantic coast, lies Calovebora. This small community, comprised principally of Indians, is one of the more developed in the region. Indian villages line the river as it travels inward, twisting through the mountains that lie just behind. A road is in the planning that would join this coastal community with the interior portion of the country, which would make this particular coastal community much more accessible. Fantastic mountain biking also exists in this area.
CALOVEBORA (ATLANTIC COAST INDIAN VILLAGE) - Rio Calovebora, as it winds its' way south into the rugged mountainside, passes through numerous small Indian villages, as seen in this photo. Complete with schools and basic amenitiies, the people are very friendly and eager to please. The river can be run with shallow kayaks, and the surrounding hillside is perfect for mountain biking enthusiasts; the single trek path runs alongside this village en route to Calovebora.
BIRD ISLAND (BOCAS DEL TORO) - Just off Playa Drago on Isla Colon, Bocas del Toro, Bird Island or Isla de Los Pajaros as it is known in Spanish, is one of the most important nesting sites of the Brown Boobie and other sea birds. While you are not permited to venture onto the island, tour boats enable you to view these magnificant birds up close. Snorkeling in the area is normally enjoyable, and the more adventurous can swim through the small channel separating the three rock formations.
ZAPATILLA CAYS (BOCAS DEL TORO) - One of the most popular tourist destinations for those visiting Bocas del Toro, Zaptilla Cays have some of the region's finest beaches and snorkeling. All tour operators have daily tours to this islands, where you swim, scuba dive, snorkel, sun bath, or just relax. Lunch is normally served nearby at one of several restaurants that are built over the water, the most popular being Kraal Cay. A must visit for anybody visiting Bocas del Toro.
RED FROG BEACH (BOCAS DEL TORO) - Red Frog Beach is situated on the north side of Isla Bastimentos Island, and nearly every tour agency in Bocas visits this beach on a daily basis. Long and ideal for snorkeling, tourists are dropped off and picked up on the other side of the island; you are required to make a short hike to the beach. On the eastern corner of the beach there is a small hill where the famous poisonous red frogs can be found. If you can't see them, you'll sure hear them chirping away. Small and bright red, this is the only area on the island where these frogs can be found.
WATERFALL NEAR SANTA FE (INTERIOR OF PANAMA) - Just a short flight from Santa Fé, this beautiful waterfall can be enjoyed by all. Settled in a deep, empty canyon, one swim at the waterfall's base and surrounding deep pools, or hike alongside the river as it traverses up and down the lush hillside. Accessible aboard a helicopter, a trip to the western portion of Panama should include a visit here.
